Service Description
Placenta encapsulation is a traditional postpartum practice chosen by many mothers as part of their recovery and nourishment after birth. During this service, your placenta is carefully prepared, dehydrated, and placed into capsules for postpartum use. This session includes: • Placenta pickup within an agreed upon service area. Approx.. 1.5h from my office. • Safe handling and preparation practices • Full encapsulation of the placenta into capsules • Storage instructions and guidance for postpartum use • Ongoing communication throughout the preparation process Placenta encapsulation is often sought out by mothers looking to support postpartum nourishment, emotional wellbeing, energy levels, and recovery during the early postpartum period. Experiences vary from person to person, and no specific outcomes can be guaranteed. Clients are responsible for proper storage of the placenta after birth until pickup instructions are followed. Placenta must be properly refrigerated or stored on ice shortly after delivery to ensure safe preparation. This service is intended for educational and traditional postpartum support purposes only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
Cancellation Policy
Booking & Refund Policy Due to the nature of birth work and the on-call commitment required to reserve availability surrounding your estimated due date, all doula service payments and retainers are non-refundable once booking has been confirmed. In the unfortunate event of miscarriage or pregnancy loss prior to birth services being rendered, any unused portion of services may be refunded minus the cost of any prenatal visits, consultations, virtual support, educational sessions, or other services already provided. If labor support is not utilized due to rapid labor, change of plans, transfer of care, or personal decisions made by the client after booking, refunds will not be issued for reserved on call time. Herbs & Pixie Dust / Roots & Water reserves space within the calendar for each client and limits availability in order to provide intentional and reliable support throughout pregnancy and birth. By booking services, clients acknowledge understanding and agreement with these policies.
